Matt took Violet to get a haircut today and boy does she look like a little lady!

Today we met @ the Glasgow park - one of our favorite parks. With the beautiful sunset in the sky, it's was a perfect ending to our walk.
Afterward, we went shopping @ the pet store and she was a HIT! Several women were drawn to the beautiful airedale and petted, talked to her. One even took her picture! She was such a good girl!

It's only 11am and Matt and Violet probably have walked 6 miles! I helped with a 3 miler!

She's here to stay

Violet is back in the house. She's so cute on the way home today.

Blizzard of 2009

Just got done watching Matt snow blow his way through the neighborhood. Took some cute shots over the last few days. Now we're just hanging out waiting for the Eagles game this afternoon.

The crates are set. The beds are in the room. The leash and collars are ready to go. Picking up the airedales tomorrow night, Quincey and Violet are flying in from Oklahoma.
I'm a wreck...........what the heck was I thinking. I have cats - 4 cats, am I nuts to bring in 2 not 1 - 2 puppies? I guess the answer is yes. The kitties have no idea what's going to happen, and yet they know something is happening.
I"m excited too. Looking forward to walks, treats, and tricks. In time it'll all be good...right, right?

11-3-09 wrong

So I found out that the orange cat does have a home and is appox 15 years old! HA! I thought he was a homeless kitten. The neighbors next door feed 'ED' and have seen him for around 10-12 years. I didn't notice this cat until last summer. He belongs to another family and goes home @ night. During the day he hangs out between our two homes. Here he is close to my young boys, everyone loves ED.

However there are also a mom and kitten running around our houses too. So the cat carrier is being used by ED, mom & Kitten and a hairless cat in the neighborhood. Who knew!

It's the most wonderful time of the year. I treasure the color changes bc it's such a shot time frame of warm reds, yellows and oranges! Oh my favorite!

I love partylite candles. Here's my fall addition to helping the economy. Pumpkin, Cinnamon and Grapefruit ( which will be saved for cleaning days). Love the pumpkin in the kitty cat holder.

This is the display in Joanne fabrics. Notice the lovely, fluffy, happy puppy on the left and the scared, wrapped, wide eyed black cat on the right. Dogs get all the glory! It's a shame for the kitties....

It's raining, it's pouring and there's a neighborhood kitty that's out in this weather. I can't sleep @ night thinking this pour orange girl is outside. The last two days have been soppy, and cold. So Matt and I made her some shelter, with toys and treats.
Of course we can't find her right now but I keep looking! She's the same kitty from the 080209 post.

Dinner with a friend @ a place I didn't think I would ever go into. I mean come on, EAT in huge letters? But alas, Borders Cafe is delicious and the cheapest date, according to Matt. He likes that!

10-3-09 1 mile run

We're back to real life after our vacations. Let the picture of the day begin again!
This is Matt running the 1mile run up Main Street in Newark. Our registration benefits the Newark police dogs. Paco, Sjors.
Sjors did a wonderful demonstration. He's from the Netherlands, and understands Dutch and English. Don't mess with Sjors!!!!

Matt requested animal food to be donated to the SPCA, for his 50th birthday. We took the donations to the SPCA tonight. Several family members participated in Matt's birthday wish. He was very happy to give all this good food to the doggies. The SPCA is FULL of Pitbulls...it's so sad. Spay and and Neuter! The cash was donated to Uncle Bill's Bucks Mont Katrina Relief Project, with Bank of America matching the amount. http://www.bucksmontkatrinaproject.org/

We love going to Petsmart...there are always dogs and owners shopping together...I LOVE that!

8-16-09 Wheels B

I used to call Daniel "wheels" when he was younger. He always was on wheels, pushing wheels, talking about cars, trucks, flying high on his skateboard or bike. This is the cool car he can't drive for 3 more months. 'Wheels' is still going strong.
